College Credit & PDC Information

Information About Graduate Credit:

Your participation in this course is worth 12 clock hours or one graduate-level college credit. You will automatically receive a certificate of completion for clock hours when you finish the course.

ESSDACK partners with MidAmerica Nazarene University to offer college credit for our courses. Using Fiction & Nonfiction Literature in the 2-6 Social Studies Classroom is worth 1.0 Knowledge Level credits. This one-credit will cost an additional $90, payable to MidAmerica Nazarene.

At the end of the course, you will complete a form to request the college credit reflection documents. Your reflection will be due to MidAmerica Nazarene seven days after you receive the email containing the enrollment details. Please note, that there is no flexibility in this process, submissions later than seven days after the end date will not be accepted by the college.

Below are the required reflection questions you will be asked to submit to MNU:

  1. Describe the key content presented in the workshop.
  2. Explain why this information is important to the field of education.
  3. Explain the potential impact this methodology, philosophy, information, or the influence it will have on students and/or communities.
  4. If you are or were a classroom teacher or specialist, articulate how you will implement this new knowledge in the classroom.  For teachers, lesson plans are acceptable in this section.  If you are an administrator, describe how this new information will impact your building or learning community.
